Did you know Chico is only 1.5 hours away from Lassen National Park? If you're staying awhile and looking for a little adventure, take a short drive up to the mountains. Vehicle access will still be limited this time of year, but over-the-snow adventure is seemingly endless. Rent some snowshoes for the day from Mountain Sports in downtown Chico and explore the park on foot, or enjoy a fun day of sledding.
